Cabin

I am on a blogging kick today and I have been catching up on our Utah trip.... if you are in the mood I have posted several posts- enjoy!

One of the places I insisted on going to was the cabin. My Grandma has had a cabin ever since before I can remember. My parents later bought property right next to my Grandma and we spent so many trips there. At first we stayed in what we now call the shed... we then liked to call it our "cottage" :) I wish I would have taken a picture... it is small and had two lofts above where the kids would sleep. Later my dad got a cool obsession with teepee's and eventually bought one. It was huge and we loved to camp in it. It was vandalized which made us all so sad and we still haven't gotten it fixed (again, I wish I had a photo on hand). Now we have a cabin.... I'll have to ask my mom for a photo because.... I didn't take one of my own :( I am a space case, I know. Anyway, we got to spend a night there which was so much fun. Evan has been there once before when I was pregnant with Kiah two years ago. I am pretty sure he went up a few times as a baby as well. It was Kiah's first time there. It has been way too long.

This is chipmunk hill (in the background) as we all call it. It is a part of my Grandma's property and we can see it from our property. It is one of the places we always have to visit while at the cabin.

The clouds were amazing that day...

Jillian, you rock :)

Maybe I shouldn't post this...

Cute girls...

I LOVE this picture... Grandma Fowler and Sophie...

You should have seen us girls this night... or maybe you shouldn't have :) We are crazy! We were having way too much fun listening to the Monkees, good times!
Cami, Shannon, myself, and Bethany.... Jillian was sleeping.

This is my Grandma's cabin :)

I still remember doing these puzzles as a kid...

Evan did not want to stop riding the four wheeler... his favorite part of the trip for sure.

Utah is sure different from Indiana... I love it though, it is so beautiful!

The girls :)

One of my highlights of my trip was hanging out with these two girls. I have so many great memories with them.... they were my roommates in college and I will never forget those days! Great memories that is for sure. We went to lunch at Cafe Rio (Mmmmm!) and sat and talked and talked. It is crazy how much we've changed and how we are each in different stages in life right now...but we still were able to sit and talk like those college days weren't 5 (FIVE!) years ago.

Kristen and Emily :)

I feel like I should take a step back and post a few of these old photos... :) If you have questions about any of them... ummm... yeah, just don't ask :) You probably don't want to know...

Ummm yeah, we stole borrowed a love sac. It was a lot easier getting it out of the apartment then in.... Don't worry, we gave it back...

We were the coolest cheerleaders at our friends soccer games... we all vowed that we'd be soccer moms together...

We later wallpapered our stairwell with these signs. Along with posters from the movie Hitch :)

We loved to dye our hair :)

All four of us.... Kristen, Emily, Me and Kajsa.... (the wall behind us? Our "guy wall" :))

Kite flyin'... Em is the pro...

Chillin' at the local Walmart...

Good times, good times :)

Some of our favorite things...

....at Grandma and Grandpa's house...

The garden :)

Kiah LOVED the strawberries....

... Swings!

This is all the kids wanted to do while we were there. They could swing all day...

And the dogs :) This is Carly my parent's Doberman... she is big, but she is sweet! The kids love her and miss her so much. I wish I would've taken more pictures of her...

This is Talula (yeah, I probably spelled that wrong...), Shannon's little yorkie. There was a time that I wanted a  yorkie... after seeing this cute dog I think I might want one again. She is a cutie.

Cinderella

After the wedding and fun filled weekend we had our family photos taken on Monday and we hung out in SLC with Dallas' parents and his Sister Candi and her two girls. That night we headed down to South Jordan to stay with my parents. The next morning Dallas had to head back to Indiana :( It is definitely harder without having a dad around! Thank goodness for grandma and grandpa and wonderful aunts! The kids finally warmed up to the idea of having other people around and that helped me a lot. There were so many times that I was able to go out shopping with my sister or to see some friends and my family was so nice to help out and watch the kids... thank you, thank you, thank you!

Another Utah adventure... we got to see Cinderella played at an amphitheater  :) I've always loved the Rodgers and Hammerstein version... the music is so fun. I really enjoyed taking my kids to see it. All the kids there were dressed up for the occasion which made it so much fun.

Sophie...

Cami and Bethany... (and that is totally Shawn Bradly behind on the left- haha!)

Me and Kiah...

Shannon and her Daughter Sophie...

Grandma and Demi...

Jillian and her friend Emily...

During intermission they let all the "princesses" and "princes" come up to bow to the queen and try on the "glass" slipper. My niece Sophie was thrilled and just loved every second. My kids were excited... until they got up on the stage :)

Demi and Cami and the Queen...

The kids and I... Evan showed me how he can bow and then he got scared in front of the queen...

Kiah didn't want to have anything to do with strangers...
