New furniture and cute Evan

We finally got a dresser and also a new bed! (Well, new to us) We've been living out of a box for 2 months now so it's nice to have a place to put our clothes :) Our bed is super comfy and we love it! A girl in our stake sold us both for $40, it was a really good deal so we are happy. Here are some pictures of our new stuff.

I thought it would be really fun to refinish the furniture, but I think Dallas thinks I'm crazy. I'm always telling him I want to paint everything black, I love black furniture, so he thinks I'm just obsessed (and maybe I am). We might be moving into a town home in the next few months so I thought that would be a fun project for next summer when we have some space outside to do that kind of thing.

Speaking of moving, I just can't wait to get outta here! We have had problem after problem! We are on a waiting list for the town home and we are number five now on the list! Hopefully we don't have to wait too much longer. Everytime I relax and start enjoying our apartment something else happens. Earlier in the week we had brown water coming out of the tub facet, on thursday night we couldn't sleep because of our drunk neighbors upstairs partying, then the next night my ipod got stolen out of the car, then today we noticed the pipes under the sink leeking. Not to mention our stairwell is constantly filled up with cigarette smoke. And this is just some of the problems here, so you can see why I just can't wait to get our new apartment!!!

Okay, I am done venting! I also wanted to show off my cute kids. Here are some more movies mom, I'll try and get some more so you can see the kids. Also here are some pictures of Evan's new PJ's that I got for 2 bucks! He is a cutie.

Kiah's 3 month photo shoot!

Makiah turned 3 months old yesterday and I got her two new outfits so I had to get some pictures. Evan actually wanted to be in some of the pictures, surprise, surprise! Kiah even smiled in one of them :) The top two and the one second from the bottom are my favorites!

Fall Break

Dallas had fall break on Monday and Tuesday, but we didn't have plans to do anything. Dallas focused on homework and studying, which was a good thing, but on Tuesday night I dragged him out of the house to have some fun. We went to the Tippawango Park, and of course it was beautiful there. I think the parks here are my favorite part of Indiana, they are all so pretty! The weather was wonderful, and from last Friday till Tuesday it was in the 80's during the day (quite the difference from all the snow I've been hearing about in Utah and Wyoming). Here are some pictures from our time at the park! The first couple are taken on the bridge that crosses the Wabash River.

Finally one I like!

Okay, I found a layout that I love! Isn't it cute? I just love gerber daisies and that is why I chose it. I also like that it is simple, not to full of stuff. I'd rather fill my blog up with pictures of my cute family.
I found my layout at lenatoewsdesigns.blogspot.com for all of you who are wondering. She has some free templates and the are so cute. I found two that I love and I am using the other one for a new blog I am hoping to start. Just be sure to read her tutorials before you download her stuff, because it can get confusing. If you are computer illiterate like me, be careful! I lost some of my slide shows and stuff so don't be dumb like me!

Oh the funny things he says...

Evan is just too funny! His talking is getting better and he tries to say the things we do. We were at the store yesterday and I said something was cute, so he had to say cute too. He kept pointing to it saying "cute!" This morning he threw a toy and of course it hit me in the head so I said "ow!" So Evan said, "No, no, no, owie!" and then he came and kissed my owie better! Evan has an owie on his knee and he likes to find it and say owie. Yesterday he got hurt on his finger so he had me kiss it better, then he took Makiah's binky out of her mouth so she could kiss it better too!

At the zoo

Well everything worked out well on Monday and we got to go to the zoo. It was lots of fun, and it was free! They had a petting zoo, spider monkeys, lynx, eagles, porcupines, and probably more I just can't remember. Anyway Evan liked it a lot and I highly recommend it :) I'm thinking spring and summer time are better times to go. They were getting ready to close up for the winter and they are under construction, building an owl exhibit I think.
After we went to the park we went to get frozen custard just down the street and that was yummy! (Thanks for the idea Lark, Dallas enjoyed his birthday gift!) They had this funny sign up in the drive through, something we'd expect in Wyoming and not in Indiana! We thought Dallas' Dad would appreciate it!

Indecisive

Bear with me, I keep changing my blog layout... I just can't find one I really really like. If I do find one, then I can't figure out how to put it on here. It is very frustrating! So if you visit my blog and the layout looks bad, no worries it will change soon!!!

Happy Birthday Dallas!!!

Happy Birthday to Dallas! He hit the big 2-5 on Wednesday and man, is he old! Ha ha ha, not really old I guess... anyway, it was a long day for him, he had to take an exam late that night. Basically his whole day was dedicated to studying, and we all know how exciting that can be, so you can only imagine what it was like for Dallas on his birthday. He didn't get home till 10:30 pm and from what I gathered, it was not an easy test, for any one. Luckily, because of the time difference Dallas was able to talk to Jason and Candi on the phone before he crashed and went to bed.

On Friday we got to celebrate, We tried to go to the Columbian Park Zoo but we got there right when it closed, so we're gonna try again on monday since Dallas has no school. The park is pretty cool and the plyground is big. Too bad Evan decided to take his nap when we were there, rather than when he was supposed to... anyway, we'll have fun when we go again on Monday.

Dallas got to have his favorite meal for dinner, Manacoti, and it was yummy! You'll see in the video how exciting dinner can be at our house .(Evan isn't usually like that, he was acting like he was starving that day... he really wasn't, he eats all the time!) Dallas got a book from us called Men of Valor, you'll have to ask him how it is, he has been wanting it for some time. We also got him a new shirt, lucky charms, trail mix and his favorite treat, Peanut Butter Jello dessert. He also got lots of cards and presents in the mail from family- Thanks everyone! I think he had a fun birthday!
