I feel like it has been way to long since I've written anything. This blog has been like a journal about our family and I miss having the internet at home! Anyway, now I feel like I have to catch you all up on what you've missed!
I'll go back to Thanksgiving...
We had Thanksgiving with the Allen's and the Maas' at the Allen's home(some friends in the ward, and now our new neighbors). The food was so yummy and it was so nice to have friends to be with since we couldn't be with family. Evan had lots of fun with the other kids and he loved sitting at the kids table to eat (back in the day I hated eating at the "kids table" but he had fun!) I made my Mom's yams, pumpkin pie, Dallas' Mom's Jello salad, and some rolls (that turned out great- I now have the best recipe for rolls!) Evan is now a huge fan of pumpkin pie. He would've eaten it all if I let him!

The next morning Makiah woke me up at 3 am right before my alarm went off. I gave her to Dallas and got ready to go shopping! I always thought people were crazy for shopping the day after Thanksgiving, but I had so much fun! I went with some friends and so we were able to wait in lines for each other while we all shopped. It's crazy how many people get up that early to hit the sales, but it's definitely worth it if you know what you are going for. I got gifts for the family, some new clothes for Makiah, and I even got myself some frames:)

Kiah's new clothes :)
On Saturday we set up our (very) little Christmas Tree. It's only 3 feet tall but it's perfect! Evan loves the lights and his reindeer ornament that Grandma Johnson gave him last year. Now our house is all ready for the holidays. We loooove Christmas and We cannot wait!

We had a ward Christmas party last week and guess who showed up?

Classic

Evan really did like Santa-until I put him on his lap! After he got down he said bye-bye Santa!

I was happy to see an update! It sounds like you are having a great holiday season. I went shopping on black friday as well. I was lots of fun! Have a great week!
I love the Santa pic! I plan all year for my day after Thanksgiving shopping. Because of our crazy schedule this year - I had to get ALL of my Christmas shopping done in 2 days!!! We were in WA for Thanksgiving, so I had to shop while were were there, put up the tree and decorate and then we are going back on Thursday for Christmas!
